Thank you so much for your interest in Run for God! I truly feel that this program has a place in every community, and it is my goal to make that happen!
It seems as though everyone’s initial question is “How do I get a Run for God course in my church or community?” It’s simple, if you feel led to lead a class, start one. And if you feel led to be a part of a class, but not teach one, then pray that someone will be put in your path willing to lead a class.
How do I get started?
Before doing anything pray! Pray that God will give you a sense of peace in your decision to start this study.
Once you feel that “Run for God” is definitely for you and your community then it is time to get started.
First of all you will need to order the “Run for God – Instructors Kit”. This “Kit” has everything that you need to make your class a success including an instructors book, a student book, sign-in forms, class rosters, marketing and banner PDF’s, DVD’s, and your very own password to access the instructors page on the RUNFORGOD.COM website.
As an instructor you will want to allow yourself ample time to promote the class in your church or community (30 days minimum). You will also want to be prepared for the class to continue to grow even after it has started.
Once the class begins, you will want to meet once a week and each week will be divided into two parts. First is the Biblical aspect, every week has a different Bible study as well as three scriptures that you are to study prior to each workout. Second is a different topic for every week on the sport of running, topics like shoes, nutrition, gear, etc (topics that are a must know for new runners). Each week you meet to discuss the prior week’s lesson and to answer any questions that are arising, and they are many for new runners as I am sure you can remember. Below is an outline of the class: Week 1 Introduction Testimonies Week 2 Running the Race Before Us Gear Week 3 Run Your Race Shoes Week 4 Free to Run Stretching / Core Exercises Week 5 The Hay is in the Barn Injuries / Injury Prevention Week 6 If you Have to Ask…..
